First time in Arizona this December as in a cowboy movie for the first time! Red rocky mountains, sandy ground, cactuses, coyotes, psychics, new and old spirit of Indians and Cowboys. And in the midst of all this colorful energy, the culture of a nation that is now only present in contours begins to attract my attention, together with stories of their leaders, glorious Indian chiefs. There are Five mutual principles of leadership among chiefs that are spoken about: - They knew how powerful they were, yet they did not abuse that. They believed in the distribution of power. They were very quick in recognizing leadership qualities of others and in supporting them.
- They did not recognize time linearly. They thought things were happening at the right time for it, such as sowing and harvesting, that took place in accordance with nature’s rhythm.
- Emotional Intelligence of the Indian leaders was extremely developed. They were self-conscious, and they had great compassion for others. They knew when people needed support and if they were able to help they would do that.
- Indian leaders never asked others to do anything they themselves would not do. They always thought about how their future activities would affect others, and for that reason they never did anything that was not in the best interest of those they were leading.
- Indian chiefs were visionaries. They saw a "big picture" and were able to create a vision that would be accepted by the whole community in the right way.
What do you think about the applicability of these principles today? What were the leaders like that you were glad to follow? Would you follow yourself, if you were in the role of your associates? If you wish to awake your current leadership skills further and adopt those that are the most desirable today, our uniquely designed leadership training is approaching on Friday: HOW TO BECOME A TOP LEADER & ACHIEVE DESIRED TEAM RESULTS 15th – 16th DECEMBER 2017 Ivan Dmitrić |
Gordana Berger | | It was my pleasure to meet you, team up with you in an atmosphere full of friendship, enthusiasm, happiness... It seems that so far, with no one did I get into RAPPORT so fast. Today, when the managerial population is increasingly "distracted", in a constant dilemma to respond to job requirements, to create balance between business and private life segment, as well as to pay the lowest psychological price, dealing with this demanding type of work is a great challenge! By choosing and striving for lifestyles based on a value system that is reflected in the way you lead yourself, your employees and your organization, you have helped us make that the challenge becomes the truth we live by! Happy self-leadership and leadership in this important month when we learn a lot about our personal and team results, whether we are leading a project, a company or our family team.
